The Buzz About Bees

As Bees in Honey Drown wrapped up its run at the Penn Avenue Theatre in Bloomfield. Although it received mixed reviews, everyone who saw the show thoroughly enjoyed it. Eric played the role of Evan, a writer who has just published his first novel and must grapple with the issues that "fame" brings. This was Eric's final show in Pittsburgh Theater before our move to LA, and he had a wonderful time performing with a very talented cast, director & crew.

George Washington was a Hit!

Through the month of October, Eric continued to play the role of George Washington at the Heinz Regional History Center. He thoroughly enjoyed this role, and won the adoration of many young girls visiting the museum on school field trips. He was even on TV in a feature news story about the exhibit. One of the most memorable events was Penn's Colony (a colonial reinactment in Pittsburgh's North Park), where he got to participate in a reinactment of the battle for Fort Necessity, which was the battle that began the French & Indian War.

Laurie Does LA

Laurie spent a very busy 5 days in Los Angeles, California, in search of employment and an apartment. She had 2 interviews and looked at many apartments, as well as visiting with friends in the area. Many thanks to our friends in LA who helped Laurie through this crazy trip. After many stressful days and much deliberation she has accepted a generous job offer from Productivity Point International in an area of LA called Culver City, and secured an apartment close by in Mar Vista. The apartment is a spacious one-bedroom with a loft, fireplace, dishwasher, central air, and a balcony, in a building with a secure parking garage, laundry facilities, pool, hot tob, & barbeque area. It's a perfect place for entertaining guests (hint, hint)!

NOVEMBER "PREVIEW"
California or Bust!

On November 19th, we will be packing up a U-Haul and heading for LA. Our car will be towed behind us and Fatty & Skinny will be squeezed into the cab of the truck with us. We'll be attempting to reach LA by November 22nd, spending the first night near St. Louis, the second night in Texas, and the third night in Arizona. That amounts to 10-12 hours of driving a day, and not much time to see the country except from the highways. If we are still speaking to eachother after that, we'll be spending Thanksgiving with friends in LA. That leaves 3 days to settle into our new place before Laurie starts her new job on November 27th. We are exhausted just thinking about it!

Up until the day we leave, we are frantically trying to see friends & family and pack boxes and tie up the loose ends here in Pittsburgh. If you're in Pittsburgh and would like to see us before we leave, give us a call soon!
